The coaching I do is about seeing who we really are.
We go through our lives believing we are this separate body, this identity, these choices, this life, these needs. But there is no substance, no realness to this. It is impermanent and subjective, a function of momentary perception. All appearing and disappearing within consciousness. Consciousness is, ultimately, who we are. And as consciousness, as awareness with no judgment, there is nothing to resist and nothing to seek.

Sometimes (often?) we look around us and think how much happier and more secure we would be if things were different. If we earned more money or were better with the money we have, if the kids were quieter or spent less time on the iPad, if the relatives were less intrusive or more helpful, if we lost or gained some weight, if we didn't have those habits or had more useful ones, if we worked more or worked less, if we got the promotion or could give up work, if the house was bigger or smaller.

Here I am. Clare Dimond. And I have needs and wants that must be satisfied in order for me to be ok. I have preferences and desires and vulnerabilities. I am who I am and I go about the world seeing the meaning it has for me and battling through to somehow get what I want in order to be happy and secure.

If I’m the entire creative power of the universe then why am I such a loser?
One of the phrases that comes up a lot in the coaching field is that we are the creative potential of the universe.
I remember hearing this and feeling like the biggest loser on earth, actually make that… well… in the universe.
I looked around at my life and thought I can’t even create a new client or a steady income or a waistline that is even close to pre-pregnancy or a good relationship. I can’t create a proper business or a tidy house or a reliable arrival at school on time.

There is only one way to change any system or address any issue or correct any injustice.
There is only one way and it can happen in an instant or take a lifetime.
The only way to do any of this is to see who we really are.
And I know that sounds demented, delusional and like flat-out denial (the 3D’s instead of the 3P’s?).
