[Excerpt from Unachievable]

Unachievable is what I call the process of re-wiring the brain so that it stops investing its energy in an endless loop of confusion that literally hides what is being searched for. Stress is often a sign that instead of dealing with reality, the mind is trying to secure what doesn’t exist, trying to control what cannot be controlled.

Locked into stress, unable to define what it wants, the mind circles endlessly trying to control the experience of being while all the time creating more confusion and exhaustion. This book is the end of that never-ending loop.

This book says:

1. All wants that relate to securing the Identity are Unachievable. Not one of them can be achieved. ‘Unachievable’ marks the end of that attempt.

2. In contrast, the mind, brain and body engaged in reality, solving problems that are actually real, are sane, resourceful and powerful.

3. As the mind, brain and body move deeper into relationships, creation and problem solving, Unachievable Wants will show up, triggering discomfort.

4. The discomfort is there merely to be had and experienced. It no longer has to be avoided because we know now what it is.

5. The movement into the world through wants therefore, becomes a momentum of healing, alignment and transformation.

Through these steps, our response to stress is re-wired, allowing us to recognise it as the true signal of sanity it really is
