[Excerpt from Unachievable]

'Cause I try… and I try… and I try… and I try… I can’t get no… I can’t get no…'  None of us can.

There is no closure, there is no fulfilment, there is no completion or sense of fulfilment and there is certainly no satisfaction when Identity Wants are driving Form Wants. But, because it looks as though having more love, money, success, followers, sex, cars, thinness, muscles, admirers, attention, promotions, power or whatever will result in our feeling complete and whole, happy and peaceful, secure and in control, we will keep going until the body can’t take any more and calls a halt.

There may likely be moments of feeling great along the way, which fuel the search, in the way the highs fuel the drug habit, but ultimately the game is unwinnable. The only way off the treadmill is to discern the difference between Identity and Form Wants. Form Wants are complete when they are complete and the mind moves on to the next want. There is no treadmill with these.

Identity Wants are a never-ending treadmill. They can never be met. Until this is realised all available resources will be used. Identity Wants can exhaust body and mind.
